Using the following links, you have the opportunity to explore geography and history.

Geography—using the links below, your student can test his or her knowledge of World Geography and map skills.   Older students can visit Geography 101 for a more in depth look at geography as a pursuit and the many facets involved.  A great way to use the 101 site is to assign a research project on geography and allow your student to explore the topic and develop writing skills.

State History:  Provides access to the history and geography of each US state. Select your state and begin exploring for information on state history, key individuals, symbols, state animals, etc. Younger students can begin keeping a state notebook of their findings, documenting and diagramming their findings. Older students can use the information to begin a research paper on their state.
Remember, state history is required once during elementary school and once between 7th & 12th grade.

Science—The Eye  You can spend two weeks exploring this site and its many links to get a full picture of the eye, its many parts, the function of each part, and completing the many experiments relating to the eye.  We recommend you begin by watching the Cow Dissection (unless your child is a little queasy).  This should ignite some interest in the subject.

Then move on by clicking on “Learn More About the Eye” and explore the site and its many eye links.  There are many different experiments and outstanding visuals throughout the site.
